The real story of the real victim in the disappearance of Theresa Parker...........
Theresa Parker is a beloved sister, daughter, aunt, coworker, family member, and friend to many people. She was a 911 operator in Lafayette, Georgia and has been missing since March 21. She left her sister's home that Wednesday evening and said she was on her way to clean out her new apartment she had just rented. When family couldn't reach her for days, they reported her missing. The police found her vehicle still in the driveway of the marital home on Cordell Road in Lafayette so they know she didn't drive away. Her purse and cell phone were the only things missing.
She was married to a Lafayette police officer, Sam Parker, and they were in the midst of a divorce. There was evidence of domestic abuse with previous calls made by Theresa to 911 in the years leading up to this. There was also an incident in Florida where Theresa had to call 911 because Sam fired his gun out of a motel room window and threatened to kill himself and Theresa. After that incident, he spent 9 days in a mental institution and was put on a 2-year probationary period at the police department, which was completed in the months before Theresa's disappearance.
Until Theresa could get completely moved out, the husband was staying at his deceased father's home in Trion, GA, but was in and out of the house. He admits to going to the marital home early Thursday morning around 6, he says to get a boat motor for a planned fishing trip with a local lawyer named Bill Slack (note paragraph below about fishing trip). He claims the vehicle was there but the door was closed so he assumed she was asleep. He says he went back around 3 that afternoon and the vehicle was still there but the door was open and Theresa was gone. He didn't report her missing though and went on with his life claiming to know nothing until Theresa's sister called days later wanting to know if he had seen or talked to her.
There was also talk on a local radio show where Theresa's sister reportedly said that she got worried and called the nonemergency 911 number where her sister also worked the morning after she last saw her and asked them to do a courtesy check on her because she had gotten a call from her house late the night before while she was asleep and couldn't get her sister on the phone. An officer said he rode by around 6 a.m. and that Sam Parker's truck was there but Theresa's wasn't. The sister said the officer said he rode back by about an hour later and Sam's vehicle was gone and Theresa's 4-runner was back. This would be the same morning Sam claimed to go there for the boat motor except he said that Theresa's vehicle was there. This would make one wonder did he drive Theresa's vehicle somewhere during the night or early morning hours and if so where to? We also now know that the GBI found drops of human blood in the creases of the hatchback of Theresa's 4-runner.
FISHING TRIP: In recent developments, news channel 9 has confirmed that there has been a hole found in Sam Parker's alibi. He and the local attorney have claimed to be on a fishing trip together in which they went fishing in Summerville, ate at local bar-b-q place, and arrived back in Lafayette at 3 o'clock. Jane Melton, another attorney in Lafayette, who was handling their divorce said Sam Parker was in her office on that same day at 11:30, that he dropped by wanting to know the status of his divorce. This means he couldn't have been on the fishing trip until 3:00 with the lawyer. Melton confirmed this to news channel 9 and said she has also given this information to the investigators. This is one of the details that the GBI had been keeping close to their vest since the gag order that has leaked out. What would be the reason for lying about the trip? If they only lied about the time they got back, this wouldn't help prove his innocence because Theresa is suspected to have been harmed the night before after the 10:44 call made from her home and before around 7:00 a.m. the next morning when the officer saw her vehicle back at home and Sam's gone so the 3-1/2 hours they lied about doesn't make sense and instead leads to the assumption that the hours of the trip weren't lied about but that in fact the whole trip was made up and never took place. Why would he make up a fishing trip and get someone to lie for him??? Maybe to give an explanation of why his vehicle was seen there early that morning by the police officers during the well check.
Also, a police officer named Ben Chaffin who worked directly up under Sam Parker was arrested for giving a false statement to investigators about Theresa Parker's disappearance. There have been a lot of rumors of what he lied about, but so far the police will not say; they will only say it is directly related to Theresa's disappearance and is significant. He is out of jail on bond at this time.
Sam Parker is the only suspect in the case and has since been fired from his police duties after they found explosives in his police locker after GBI obtained a warrant to search them. Sam gave an interview to Fox 5 News where he spoke not about Theresa but only about the problems this was causing him while at the same time he claimed he thought Theresa was alive and knew where she was but that he wasn't going to tell because if she is happy then that is fine.
Also, there were several people, including the ex-wife of Sam Parker and fellow police officers, who signed an affidavit on the search warrant that he had bragged he could kill somebody and get rid of the body to where no one would ever find it. One of the officers said he said that as recently as a few weeks before the disappearance. All of this along with other evidence is leading everyone to fear the worst.
The GBI is heading up the investigation and the case has been assigned to the Floyd County DA to avoid any accusations of mishandling since Sam was a police officer for the county and worked very closely with the Walker DA and their investigators and was personal friends with some as well. In the letter from the local DA asking for the case to be assigned to someone else, he stated, "Evidence gathered so far by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Walker County Sheriff’s Office suggests Theresa Parker may have been killed by Sam Parker although no body has been found."
The police have conducted searches for Theresa, as well as 2 where they had volunteers help. This has centered mainly around South Walker County as that is where the last record of Theresa's cell phone was shortly after midnight that Wednesday night. The police have not released many details on that call, and there has been some speculation as to whether it was actually an outgoing call, an incoming call answered or not answered, or just a "ping" when the phone was searching for a signal. These results have so far not turned up anything, but they say they aren't going to give up and we aren't either.
There are so many people that are praying for Theresa and wanting justice to be served. No matter what their opinion on the case, Theresa has touched more people than you could imagine - even total strangers (like me). She has brought the subject of domestic violence to the forefront and made a lot of people realize that it is a big problem and shouldn't just be ignored by the police or outsiders looking in that may suspect what is going on. Theresa of course had already touched the lives of the people who knew and loved her just by being the person she was, but in her disappearance Theresa has put her mark on this world and made a lasting impression on people who never even knew her or who might not have ever thought about domestic violence since it wasn't affecting them personally.......we only wish it didn't take this to make that mark. We are still praying for you Theresa and your family and we won't forget.......
I am asking that everyone who reads this pray for Theresa Parker and her family and realize that they are the real victims here. In response to Dawgnurse's articles not about Theresa but instead about their troubles: Nobody's rights are being taken away or trampled on. The local LE, GBI, and FBI are only doing their job in trying to find this lovely woman and give her justice. Anyone that wants Theresa found and could have any information or knowledge should feel priviledged and proud to be interviewed by them instead of feeling like they are wasting their time and giving them nothing in return. I mean, what more could someone that truly loves Theresa want besides them trying to find her and bring her home? The news organizations and media aren't attacking anyone. In fact, instead of being criticized for reporting the truth, they should be thanked for putting Theresa's name out there and for doing their part in trying to find her. I can't imagine how anyone could be so selfish to only think about themselves and how their hair looks when a family is missing their daughter and their sister.....shame on you, shame on you.
Note: I felt so sorry for Sam's family including Carolyn and couldn't imagine what they were going through and prayed for them as well until I ran acros this blog. That is when it became apparent to me by the lack of articles about Theresa and the articles on their troubles and her attitude against law enforcement and the media that she was only concerned with feeling sorry for herself and Sam and making them out to be the victims. That is why I had to write this article, just to let all her online friends know the truth and put Theresa, the one whom needs our prayers, in the forefront.
Still praying for Theresa and her family,
GaGal

Thank you so much.
My prayers to Theresa Parker, her family, her husband, her husband's family, and everyone who knows her.
On the other points, I remember hearing and reading about a missing young boy, many years ago....a boy who disappeared while delivering the newspaper early in the morning. For many years the mom and dad were out there as a team, in front of the news media, etc. Many years later, they divorced, as is common in those situations. The two of them couldn't tolerate anymore of the way the other was "handling it" in their opinion. I don't remember which one, but one of them was very vocal, the other very withdrawn. The vocal one thought that's how the other should be and the withdrawn one thought the other should be more quiet about it. In the end, the entire family was destroyed. (And to my knowledge, the little boy was never found). I am not going to judge how anyone is handling the situation....everyone has to handle it in their own way.
Carolyn is one of my friends here and I support and pray for her through this ordeal, and so do many others. No matter what any of us think about Theresa's disappearance, Carolyn deserves our love, respect and support.
Your criticism and attacks are inappropriate; lay off her.
This verse has got me through so much I hope it helps both of your families.
I Corinthians 13
Love is patient; love is kind.
Love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way: it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice in wrong doing, but rejoices in truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
And now faith, hope, and love abide,
and the greatest of these is love.
